Towards the end of 2003, a chance meeting between British multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Rob Congdon and Cuban-born Mexican-based vocalist, musician and songwriter Alfonso Fors lead to the formation of Bosshole.  Alf was spending some time in Plymouth, UK and whilst discussing music with Rob, they realised they shared a lot of common ground with a love of artists such as Frank Zappa and Tom Waits and the music of esoteric German label ECM.  Rob mentioned that he had a bunch of instrumentals he had been working on and gave Alf a CD of these recordings.  In double-quick time, Alf came back with lyrics to 5 of these songs, which formed the basis of their first recorded output, AN INTRODUCTION. No sooner had they finished recording AN INTRODUCTION, work began on the follow-up, MEET THE NEW BOSS and this was completed before the end of 2004.  The highlights of  these two CDs were combined for release in Mexico as AN INTRODUCTION TO THE NEW BOSS.  Much of 2005 and 2006 was spent with Rob working up tracks in the UK and sending them to Alf in Mexico to work on.  Then, on 02/09/06, Rob and Alf reconvened at HB Central in Plymouth to record the vocals for the album LIFE’S NOT EASIER WITH THE MOUTH SHUT. The album is available now in Mexico and the UK on CD or check the Links section for MP3 availibility.
